About Larry

Priorities and Objectives

Why I am Running

I grew up on a small farm in Harrison, OH that I still manage, built and operate a self storage business for 30 years and recently retired from 38 years as a manufacturing manager at P&G.  I hold a degree in Finance from the University of Cincinnati which together with my years as a manager at P&G enable me to offer the citizens of Franklin County analytical, project  management and leadership skills acquired over four decades.

Why I am Running

Like you, I am truly blessed to live in this great country, and as a great admirer of our Founding Fathers, I hope to fulfill the citizen / leader role they envisioned:  They expected citizens to gain skills and knowledge in their private lives, briefly bring those skills to self-governance, then return to their private lives.  Said simply, I hope to use my lifetime acquired skills to improve life in Franklin County.

Priorities and Objectives

Priorities I see for Franklin County:

  • As a conservative Republican, the first priority is to ensure we keep what is good and important to Franklin County citizens including:
  • Protection of our citizens – backing our law enforcement and ensuring they have the resources to keep citizens safe
  • Protect farmland, and most especially the prime farmland as it is both a county and national resource
  • Effectively manage and maximize the capability of our limited County government resources

Future Development:

It is no secret that Franklin County desperately needs more employment opportunities and a more developed tax base, but that does not mean we should accept whatever comes our way

Every new development opportunity needs to be carefully evaluated against not only the benefits and negative aspects they bring, but also against the desires of Franklin County citizens while respecting and protecting property owners’ rights.

Look for ways to leverage our strengths including the availability of a quality work force and our location on the Cincinnati / Indianapolis corridor
